Chef John McClure Debuts New Menu at Starker’s Restaurant
Menu Showcases Both Classic Dishes and Seasonal Favorites!
Kansas City, MO. (August 14, 2008) --- Starker’s Restaurant and chef-owner John McClure have debuted a new menu that is a culinary salute to the past and present. The left side of the menu, Starker’s Classics, showcases dishes from the restaurant’s illustrious 35 year history, including the popular Bookbinder Soup. The right side highlights Seasonal Favorites and takes advantage of the areas freshest and highest quality produce and products.
“We have had so many requests for favorite dishes that our guests have enjoyed at the restaurant over the years, that I decided we should honor these with a special menu section,” said chef McClure. “We have received an extremely favorable response to these classic menu items!”
The Classic Dishes on the menu include: Bookbinder Soup: Starker’s Classic Soup with steamed fish in a rich broth, $7.00; Almond Crusted Rainbow Trout with Minnesota wild rice, haricot verts, oyster mushrooms and lemon garlic brown butter, $27; Garden Herb Crusted Rack of Lamb with gratin of summer vegetables and black olive caramel,$29; and Filet Oscar: Grilled Filet Mignon with Alaskan King Crab meat, asparagus, whipped potatoes and Sauce Béarnaise, $38.00.

This dinner option will be available Monday through Thursday evenings.
